Aкадемичната | 18.06.2015. 21:30

The international University of British Columbia (UBC) Centre for Cultural Planning and Development is offering a new online professional development workshop entitled Digital Culture and Cultural Policy, to take place on 13–27 October 2015, entirely online.

Digital technologies have created new practices, possibilities, and threats in which the cultural sector must find suitable ways of working. This workshop will address the digital practices that the cultural sector has been developing, including: measuring success online, suitable business models and user needs; the impacts of digitalisation on the governance and management of cultural resources; and the implications of digitalisation for cultural policy and management.

The instructor, Aleksandra Uzelac, Ph.D. is research associate at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) in Zagreb, Croatia, Head of the Culture and Communication Department at IRMO and member of the Culturelink Team.

This course can be taken individually for professional development, or applied to the UBC Certificate in Cultural Planning – an international professional development programme delivered entirely online.

Other online professional development courses and workshops on offer include: Creative Placemaking (28 September – 29 November 2015); Festivals, Events and Eventful Communities (28 September – 29 November 2015); Cultural Planning and Processes of Urban Change (7–21 September 2015); Cultural Planning – An International Perspective; Public Engagement in Art Museums (21 October – 4 November 2015), and others.
