Künstlerhaus Lukas Residence Scholarships

Open to: international artists working in the range of fine arts
From 15 May this year, the Künstlerhaus Lukas again invites artists working in the range of fine arts (painting, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, artistic book, video, arts and crafts/design), literature (narrative literature, lyrics, drama, screenplay, essay, literary translations), dance (choreography, performance) and music (composition) to apply for a residence scholarship.
In total, up to 92 months of scholarships and 4 workshop scholarships will be awarded for 2016 and 2017. The listed 100-year old artists’ house in Ahrenshoop, a place rich in tradition, is located in a very beautiful and attractive scenery and provides good working and living conditions for up to seven artists in residence at a time. Selected exchange partners in Sweden, Lithuania, Iceland and the Russian Federation complete the international scholarship programme.
For the two years mentioned, the following scholarships are offered: up to 52 residence scholarships tenable for one month, up to 4 residence scholarships tenable for two months and up to 4 workshop scholarships at Künstlerhaus Lukas as well as 18 workshop scholarships tenable for one month in Northern Europe. Furthermore, we are looking forward to 18 holders of guest scholarships from our partners in Northern Europe. Additionally, we cooperate with 5 institutions in Germany who also provide scholarships.
The application period for scholarships for 2015 and 2016 starts on 15 May 2015.
Each scholarship at Künstlerhaus Lukas is worth 1000 € per month including travel costs (except Kaliningrad). Free accommodation will be provided. The scholarships will be awarded by an independent jury who will publish their decisions at the beginning of September 2015.
Scholarship application deadline is 31 July 2015.
