Objectives

The specific objectives of this Chair are to:

• foster the problematic of cultural diversity in academic spheres, as well as in other social sectors though the creation and development of a database about cultural diversity phenomena in Israel;
• encourage research, training and documentation on cultural diversity issues, as well as the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) to promote cultural diversity;
• develop a national and international network of UNESCO Chairs around the cultural diversity problematic; and,
• foster North-South-South cooperation and knowledge exchange through collaboration with other institutions and universities in Israel and in other parts of the world, in particular with the Asia and the Pacific region
