The Irish Journal of Arts Management and Cultural Policy is an exciting and new peer-reviewed, open access e-journal publishing original research on the arts and cultural sector in Ireland.

The journal is an initiative based at the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, University College Dublin (UCD). It aims to provide a readable and engaging discussion of recent arts management and cultural policy research for academics and practitioners, encourage new research directions in the sector and offer a platform for aspiring researchers and writers.

For the launch issue, we are seeking outstanding recent postgraduate and academic research by academics and practitioners that is Irish based and focuses on any of the following areas:

· cultural policy
· arts and cultural management
· cultural tourism and the creative industries
· cultural economics
· heritage and museum studies
· marketing
· governance
· audience development and participation
· philanthropy/fundraising
· cultural finance
· administration
· production / consumption
· arts and education

The journal will be published annually, and its first issue (expected mid 2013) edited by Pat Cooke (UCD), Kerry McCall (IADT), Dr. Emily Mark-FitzGerald (UCD) and Dr. Victoria Durrer (Independent Researcher). Submissions will be peer-reviewed by an international panel of academics and practitioners.
