Aktuelno | 27.05.2015. 02:00

The EU-funded Med Culture programme has published a call for experts for a set of capacity development activities scheduled to take place in the next two years.

The purpose of the call is to establish a pool of experts who would be eligible to moderate and/or to contribute both to the content and design of these activities, which target both the authorities and cultural practitioners from civil society in Southern Mediterranean countries.

This call is open to cultural experts from civil society or from the public sector, researchers, academics or trainers.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2015.

Med Culture is an EU-funded regional programme that kicked off in February 2014 with the aim of sustaining the creation of institutional and social environments propitious to culture as a vector for freedom of expression and sustainable development. This should be accomplished by reinforcing the capacities of the public and private cultural sectors as vectors for democratisation, and economic and social development for societies in the Southern Mediterranean.

Med Culture is part of the regional programme "Media and culture for development in the Southern Mediterranean" which has been allocated a total budget of €17 million over a four-year period, of which €9 million is for the award of grants on a co-financing basis, and €8 million for one capacity-development mechanism on media (Med Media) and one capacity development mechanism on culture (Med Culture). (EU Neighbourhood Info)
