Balkan Museum Network - second annual conference "Meet, See, Do"

On behalf of the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders and Balkan Museum Network, we would like to invite you to apply to the Balkan Museum Network (BMN) second annual conference "Meet, See, Do" scheduled for April 8-10, 2014 in Tirana, Albania.

For this Conference, sixty representatives of museums from the Balkan region (up to two representatives per institution) will be selected. Conference is the opportunity to develop ideas for the collaboration projects around themes of Social justice; Negotiating the Past/Storytelling; Involvement, engagement, participation for access and inclusion and Developing Successful Projects.

The Balkan Museum Network is unique cross border collaboration for cultural heritage organizations in the Western Balkans. In 2013 the group organized their first regional conference, attended by over 50 delegates from eight countries. The event brought heritage professionals together to explore common themes to strengthen the role of museums as actors in civil society, cultural tourism and strengthening democracy. ‘Meet See Do’ is facilitated by Cultural Heritage without Borders and financed by the Swedish Government and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
