Call for Proposals for MuseumNext 2015

31.10.2014. 12:00 | Geneva, Switzerland

MuseumNext is Europe’s major conference on the future of museums. The event brings together delegates from around the world to discuss ‘what’s next?’ for the museum sector. The 2015 edition of MuseumNext will take place in the Swiss city of Geneva between 19 – 21 April 2015. The international museum community is now invited to participate in the 2015 conference by proposing presentations, workshops or panel discussions on the subject of ‘What’s next for museums?’ MuseumNext is seeking excellent examples of today which shine a light on the museum of tomorrow.

The event attracts delegates from around the globe, with more than thirty countries represented at the most recent event. Senior management from many of the world’s most visited museums attend the MuseumNext conference. Notably, the conference also serves as a meeting place for the next generation of museum leaders – passionate individuals who are pushing the boundaries in their work or studies.

The conference will be a dialogue about what’s next in all aspects of the museum, including architecture, exhibitions, technology, skills, collections, conservation, purpose and leadership. The event will run over three days, with presentations, debates, workshops and plenty of networking. The international nature of MuseumNext often means that we bring together delegates from very different organisations who are facing similar challenges.

All presentations should deliver thought provoking insight, showcase innovative ideas, reveal ‘how to’ or even share stories of what not to do. At the end of each session we want delegates to be able to take away knowledge that they can apply to their own work.
